That's that! SRH BEAT DC by 88 RUNS!This was just clinical from SRH, and very well-deserved too. After setting DC 220 to win and with those quick wickets upfront, they had positioned themselves really well in the game. It was the first time all season that DC have been bowled out!Rashid's two-wicket over really hurt them given that Hetmyer and Rahane were just beginning to get a partnership going. With Shreyas Iyer and Pant failing to get going too, they never really recovered from those early losses. How good was Rashid Khan with his 3-7?!!

The massive win will not just boost SRH's NRR, but also keeps their playoff hopes alive, who have now climbed to sixth, going ahead of RR with a better run rate. It's been a fabulous birthday for David Warner, who turned 34 today. This win from SRH was nothing short of clinical and they deserved every bit of it! A win in this game could've all but sealed DC's spot in the playoffs. They've already slipped to third spot with a NRR lower than RCB's at the moment. They're up against MI next before their last game against RCB. They desperately need one win out of those two games.

Hope you enjoyed this clash today. Thank you for your company. Do join us tomorrow when MI and RCB face-off! See you later!

team reminds me of 2018 team without bairstow! If Williamson keeps his form this team has that capacity to make it through playoffs! (Provided minimum points to qualify remains 14) @Kritzika @cricbuzz

reach 95 in eight overs and DC haven't used their 5th/6th bowler yet. The third Indian seamer/Marcus Stoinis has been the definitive weak link in DC attack and SRH looks well poised to take full advantage of those four overs from the weak link of the attack.vDC

The roles have reversed, then. WARNER gets to a FIFTY off just 25 balls and SRH finish the PP with 77 for 0 - the highest this season.Rabada's last over went for... 22!! Let that sink in.

50 runs for the opening wicketbetween Saha and Warner. It's come in just 28 balls.

Is Warner going to play anchor while Saha explodes? Sure seems like it in the three overs.

Warner is in the middle with Saha. Nortje will start for DC.

We're minutes away from start of play

TOSS: DC win toss, opt to bowl. They're unchanged. SRH have made 3 changes! Williamson in for Bairstow, Saha comes in as does Nadeem. Garg and Khaleel make way.

Teams:

Delhi Capitals: Ajinkya Rahane, Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer(c), Rishabh Pant(w), Shimron Hetmyer, Marcus Stoinis, Axar Patel, Ravichandran Ashwin, Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje, Tushar Deshpande

Sunrisers Hyderabad:David Warner(c), Kane Williamson, Manish Pandey, Vijay Shankar, Wriddhiman Saha(w), Jason Holder, Shahbaz Nadeem, Abdul Samad, Rashid Khan, Sandeep Sharma, T Natarajan

Pitch report:Chase, chase, chase, says Kumar Sangakkara. It's a very dry wicket...

Just ten league games are left in the IPL this year and as it rarely has happened in the past seasons, no team has sealed their spot in the playoffs as yet. So tight has this year's competition been that teams are just within touching distance of each other as the race for the final four has picked up. Only the fate of the Chennai Super Kings is sealed as they stand eliminated, while the others all have an outside chance of making the final four. We could potentially and mathematically have a situation where five teams get locked on 16 points with the eventual top four coming down to just NRR that separates them. Maybe things will get a tad clearer after this game between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals.

Hello and welcome to Match 47 of the Indian Premier League. DC had a good run in the first-half of the league, but have stumbled into a few roadblocks since then. A win today would all but seal their berth in the top four. For SRH, a loss today would mean elimination. Why they find themselves in a spot like this is owing to their inability to finish games that they were in control of, now leaving their fate to the other results even if they go on to win their remaining games. They threw away a winning game against KXIP after having been in control of it for 30 overs, failing to chase down even just 127. They'll want to, however, put that behind them and start afresh today on skipper David Warner's birthday, who turned 34.

It's not going to be an easy run for SRH here on, who have their remainder of games against the top three teams this year. Can they be the giant-killers to find a way to sneak into the top 4? For that to happen, their wins, mind you, will have to be pretty comprehensive ones to boost that NRR of theirs, f it comes down to that. They are currently penultimate on the table with just 8 points.
